Terrestrial Changeover Blues is a more restrained song than many others in the Squid songbook in that it doesn’t try to wrestle several ideas into one tune.
For fans of 90s music, there are superficial similarities to Gomez to a degree in that the song is a skronky blues with synth detailing. However, it’s a song of two parts as the last third is a more motoric/kosmiche influenced one, a/k/a NEU! Squid are a band to watch and it’ll be interesting to see where this song fits into the live set.
