New Black Honey Album: Self Titled

Having seen Black Honey support Royal Blood late last year at the Brighton Centre, I was intrigued to see what their debut album would deliver as they’ve released a few eps already, so this album was in the offing for a while.

The best track on the album is Into The Nightmare which sounds like a glam-rock electro stomper a la Goldfrapp Supernatural era. The more uptempo and guitar heavy tracks work better on this collection as the slower tracks tend to blur into each other. A promising debut but more bangers next time please as the pace of their debut is too slow at times. Bonus points awarded for the physical formats especially the double vinyl album.

FFO: Garbage/Blondie.
Black Honey is out on physical and digital formats on Fox Five Records.
