New Demon, Eat This EP: nothing new

Downbeat music mixed with field recordings, this release from Demon, Eat This has an unworldly quality to it.

Lyrics are sung low and the band accompaniment is unobtrusive most of the time and floats in and out of the songs at times. Of the three tracks, blood drip fountain is the strongest as it’s structurally and sonically nearest to a rock song whilst the others are almost but not quite folk but a hybrid of lo-fi music, with jazz elements and the occasional rock passage.

Not for everyone but if esoteric music and field recordings are to your tastes, then there is enough here for you to enjoy.
