Four track release from Squig opens with Bad Dream.
A Pink Floydian opening gives way to a driving rock song with Prog twists and turns. Shredding Skin is a more heads-down, riff rocker with a Spacerock shine. Stuck (Flumflae) is rock/funk with head pulverizing riffing, Prog passages and chanting style vocals. A Tail of Greed and Misery has a groovy, doom-laden vibe almost like Black Sabbath circa the first album.
Squig have a million influences and ideas and manage to harness most of them into their songs. If Rock, Prog, Spacerock, and general sonic weirdness are to your tastes, then Squig is the band for you. Set the dials for the heart of the Sun! Recommended.
