The Emperors of Ice Cream wonder what happens when you want to ask but time has moved on. Req recounts the tale of the death of a peer and the related fallout and focuses in on the minutiae of relationships and what is meant and felt by not being said.
The song is rooted in reflectiveness and less frenetic in tone than its predecessor So It’s Sad. Phrases which are everyday and common are analysed and reviewed to find meaning greater than they would have in happier, less complicated times.
