Gigs And Instore Previews

Live music in a very limited way has started to happen again with limited capacity crowds and other mitigations.

Here are a few of the best gigs and in stores planned for early 2021, where fingers and toes crossed, which might be slightly nearer to what we remember gigs used to be. In the meantime, wear your mask, keep your distance and wash your grubby hands.

* Idles – Thursday 15th April
Punk juggernaut Idles are back with their new album Ultra Mono and in April 2021 play the Concorde 2 as part of a mini-tour to celebrate this prior to their main tour later in the year as a tie-in with independent record shops. Tickets as part of album bundles sold by Resident are long gone but if you’ve got one you’re in for a treat.

* Chats – Tuesday 27th April
Aussie Shed Rockers Chats return to Brighton later than planned after two triumph shows in late 2018. Rude and crude but with the tunes to back the attitude up.

* Dream Wife – Saturday 24th April
Garage Punk Popsters Dream Wife hit the road in support of their second album, So When You Gonna… Their shows are arguably some of the most fun around and at the moment isn’t that want we all need?

* TV Priest – Friday 23rd April
Hot tipped new Punk band on tour supporting their debut album out in November this year. If you like Idles, get yourself a ticket!

* Working Mens Club – Sunday 28th March

An in-store and signing from the jittery, danceable ones. If you saw them supporting Bodega last year you know you want some more. Buy a copy of their debut album from Resident and you can!

* Billy Nomates – Saturday 13th February
Supporting her self titled album, Billy Nomates is cut from the same cloth as Sleaford Mods but with a more explicit pop sensibility at times to sweeten the sharp words. Not many tickets left…
10 TIX: Billy Nomates, live at The Green Door Store – Brighton
